Every month

Every month I'll post a new "taste" of Art Pepper's music as a FREE DOWNLOAD. These tastes are given away because they are "unreleasable" by virtue of the recording being cut off at beginning or end or by brief audio problems that occurred in the recording process.

THEY'RE TOO STUNNING TO HIDE AWAY IN MY FILES AS YOU'LL SOON SEE.

I'll also post occasional journal entries including updates on new releases.

JULY FREEBIE! HIGH JINGO, ART PEPPER, LEE KONITZ....

Name that Tune-- It's the July Freebie, "High Jingo," Art Pepper, Lee Konitz, Mike Lang, Bob Magnusson, John Dentz. Here's the anecdote: Instead of beginning a particular standard with the melody, Mike Lang, the pianist, opened it improvising. So, being a typical wily music publisher, I named it High Jingo (what the Japanese named the album) & I claimed it. Some musicians will recognize the changes but I'm not saying. It's the July Freebie on Widow's Taste.

DOWNLOAD THE FREEBIE HERE: Select "Buy Now" to download the track for free (or you COULD name a price and donate). If you want more, Click on "Buy the Digital Album." I'm offering the whole Lee Konitz/Art Pepper Atlas date (for sale) as well— along with a pdf of notes and photos. https://artpepper.bandcamp.com/album/high-jingo-art-pepper-lee-konitz
